(EMI) following the acquisition of our new site in Wichita, Kansas, U.S. This significant expansion of our American footprint expands the capabilities we have to offer to our global clients and brings new opportunities within the Aerospace and Defense sectors, supporting the company’s long-term growth objectives. The announcement was unveiled at the Farnborough International Airshow as part of our presence on the Greater Wichita Partnership stand.

Led by an executive team with more than 70 years of combined aerospace experience, our Wichita operation builds on a 30+ year history of supporting major US aerospace OEMs, giving EMI the expertise to meet the industry’s rigorous regulatory and quality standards. Our manufacturing facility is equipped with 3-, 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers, 2-axis turning, and extrusion milling for aluminum profiles including L, T, U, H, and Z sections. We also operate a dedicated shim center, manufacturing precision shims, fillers, and wear pads used in structural assemblies where tight tolerances and accurate alignment are critical. Supported by lights-out automation and Lean manufacturing principles, our processes are designed to deliver repeatable quality, production efficiency, and scalable manufacturing. This expansion enhances our precision-based manufacturing capabilities across industries and across borders, supporting aerospace, defense, space, and other advanced industries.

Leveraging local expertise, EMI has direct access to the states established highly skilled workforce in engineering and manufacturing, with local colleges and technical programs also feeding the area with new talent. Geographically, Kansas is a central state, ideal for supply chain, logistics, and serving both coasts efficiently.

Following Envisage Technologies’ recent achievement of AS9100 certification, the acquisition of EMI further strengthens the Group’s aerospace capabilities. With EMI’s AS9100-certified quality management system and ITAR registration, the Group is well positioned to support customers with increasingly complex, highly regulated, and global manufacturing requirements.
