On April 12th, Envisage hosted Coventry & Warwickshire First, a forum for professional and financial service firms within the region.
After a buffet lunch and initial introductions, the visitors were taken for tours through the facilities and given an insight into our work. In Colour, Materials and Finish (CMF) Design, our experts explained the CMF process and their Colour of the Year “Blurple”.
The tour moved into the Electronic Research and Development who displayed how show car electronics are developed, including UX/UI, and the generation of apps that allow clients to programme lighting sequences and moving parts from a tablet.
The Trim Studio was the next stop with its array of leathers and other materials, accompanied by an overview from Trim Shop Manager, Kevin Stothard, about the trim trade skills gap and pattern creation which are used not only for seats but anything which can be trimmed.
Paint Development explained how the paint gradient was developed for the Lynk & Co Next Day Concept car before the visitors moved on to the Studios, which is where all the fun stuff happens that Envisage are rarely allowed to talk about.
The Coventry and Warwickshire First serves as a platform for local experts to connect, share insights, and build relationships that contribute to business growth while being hosted at various business locations.
This month’s event created an exciting opportunity for Envisage to network and to showcase our capabilities, with the visit being highly regarded, and visitors enjoying insightful tours into the various departments at Envisage displaying high levels of craftsmanship and design.
