Envisage support 7X Design with front canopy system for V12 Speedster

Envisage were approached by 7X Design to create an individual screen and canopy system for an Aston Martin Speedster, for increased weather protection. This involved a conceptual design, engineering, tooling and component manufacture. The concept was developed in conjunction with 7X Design who supported with design direction.

The front canopies are made from Carbon frames with Perspex screens that is a style very similar to those seen on aircrafts and gliders. The plastic individual screen clips onto the front canopy with tonneau type fixings and is clipped into the headrest arch behind the driver. In line with the design brief, the system had to be sympathetic to the original car, and, allow the cover to be packed into the boot.
