Jaguar D-Type Continuation

Project Overview

Following the successful production partnership with Jaguar Classic on XKSS, Envisage were once again nominated as the sole supplier of hand-crafted body shells and body panels for the new Jaguar D-type Continuation model. The D-Type continuation consists of both the Short and Long Nose variant which were built to the original 1950s Le Mans specifications.

To ensure that the bodies were as authentic as possible, Envisage Group’s highly skilled workforce employed the same combination of traditional metal-forming techniques as was used during the original production. Combining the traditional methods with cutting-edge CAD technology, each D-type body was built to the exact specification of the original 1950s racing legends.

The working relationship between Jaguar and Envisage Group is an authentic reincarnation of the Coventry-based partnerships that existed in the era of the original D-type and XKSS, fully consistent with the heritage of both companies.
